From October 20-21, 2022, the Augmented World Expo (AWE) Europe took place in Lisbon – Portugal. Our CEO Max Limper was one of the speakers and presented together with Paweł Nikiel from CGTrader about the rise of 3D in E-Commerce and the need for alignment throughout the industry.

Max Limper (CEO at DGG) and Paweł Nikiel (Director of Technology at CGTrader) talked about the importance of industry-wide alignment and the development of standards to use 3D technology in eCommerce. They demonstrated what can be done right from the start to address any use case that a shop might encounter in the future. This strategy unlocks scalability by streamlining the production and processing of 3D models. Furthermore, they provided a real-world example of how technology might reduce manual work at various stages of the process in the furniture sector.
